It’s great to hear that a lot of recent orthodoxy is being questioned in the UK. When I was there, I was very much under the impression that there was a single, correct way of doing things, and to deviate from that was very dangerous. More flexibility and respect for teachers should let that obvious professionalism rise to the top.
